EUPNEA

Eupnea consists of piped pathways and diagonal planes. These characteristics make this building breathe. The piped pathways changes throughout the pavilion, it expands and it contracts and this is where the name Eupnea came from. Eupnea means quiet breathing stemming from the Greek word eupnoia, (eu meaning well and pnoia meaning breath). The form was derived from expanding into walkable pathways. The tangencies of these pathways are taken as references to place different planes. These planes allow different elevations in the structure and allow users to play with the polarities of the straight edged planes and the rounded paths.
